I’ve spent years serving the poor on Skid Row, and I thought I’d seen and heard it all . . . until the day a heartbroken mom came here to give away her baby.
She couldn’t face another day of feeding her baby out of a dumpster—another day of wondering if she’d have to pay in sexual favors for somewhere warm for them to sleep.
Right now, thousands of women like her live on the streets of Los Angeles. They don’t know when or what their next meal will be. They don’t have a safe place to sleep at night.
But here in the heart of Skid Row, Fred Jordan Mission is welcoming these hurting women and their children in Jesus’ name—thanks to the help of our compassionate friends.
This Mother’s Day we’ll serve these precious women and their children a nourishing meal. And we’ll share the good news of Jesus Christ—how He loves them and can rescue and restore shattered lives.
Will you help make this Mother’s Day special? Your gift of $25 will feed 12 women at our Mother’s Day Banquet in the Streets. A gift of $50 will provide meals for 25 people. And your gift of $100 will serve 50 nourishing meals for hungry women and children.
We need your help to feed hungry mothers and children on the streets.
There is a place for you to volunteer and serve these mothers and children, sign up to volunteer today.
Your grateful servant,
Willie L. Jordan
