WHAT: Los Angeles’ Largest Christmas Toy Party for Underprivileged Kids at the Fred Jordan Mission.
VISUALS: Thousands of poor and needy girls and boys will receive thousands of brand new toys including skateboards, dolls, balls, stuffed animals and every kind of toy imaginable. Each child will receive several new toys, thanks to the toy drives conducted by generous companies, schools and churches throughout SoCal. For most of these children, these toys will be the first NEW Christmas toys they have ever received. Food bags full of nutritious, healthy and delicious food will also be given out to every mother.
The Christmas Party will also include Willie Jordan, and several members of the Jordan family, now well into its third generation, serving the needy in Los Angeles. There will also be Christmas music by the Guiterrez Brothers, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse, courtesy of The Walt Disney Company.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services Mobile Unit will be on-site to conduct CalFresh (formerly known as Food Stamps) and Medi-Cal outreach to potentially eligible households/individuals.
Mission elves will also be giving fresh warm cookies to every child.
