I’m writing to thank you for volunteering at the Fred Jordan Missions' Mother’s Day Celebration, and for your compassion for the lonely, weary, and forgotten people of Skid Row—especially mothers and children.
The Core Worship Band provided amazing music throughout the day. Olympic Gold Medal winner, Leah Amico, and Steve Wilburn, Pastor of Core Church Los Angeles, shared God’s great love for us. And at the close of each service, many of our homeless guests found God’s love for the first time in their lives, and others returned to His loving embrace and forgiveness.
You helped us serve a delicious, baked Chicken lunch to all our guests. The gift bags for mothers were filled with shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, polish, and at least a dozen other personal items that a homeless mother could never afford. We are so grateful for your help.
Thank you again for helping us serve the poor on the streets of skid row.
