MISSION AND CALLING:

Fred Jordan Missions is called to “Declare and Demonstrate the Love of Jesus to the Poor.” 

VISION: 

We declare God’s love by preaching and teaching His Word through Chapel Services, Bible Studies, Special Events, Community Outreaches, Discipleship Training, Television, Radio, Social Media, and any other means available to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We demonstrate God’s love by helping meet the physical needs of men, women, and children.  We provide hot meals, food bags, snacks, cold water, bottled drinks, clothing, shoes, hygiene products, blankets, household goods, toys, and other items provided by corporations, churches, parachurches, Christian organizations, and caring individuals.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

1. To preach the gospel of salvation.

2. To disciple believers in God’s Word.

3. To provide hope to the hopeless.

4. To feed the hungry.

5. To care for the needy.

6. To encourage the hurting.

7. To inspire, challenge, train, and equip others to evangelize and help care for the needs of the poor within their local communities.

CURRENT MINISTRIES:

Chapel Services:  We teach and preach the gospel to all who come from the streets of Skid Row into our Chapel during service times.

Hot Meals:  We prepare and serve home-cooked meals to those who attend our daily Chapel Services.

Front Desk:  We distribute food, drinks, socks, clothing, blankets, snacks, and other items to the homeless through our lobby.  We also pray for those in need who come to our doors.

Holiday Events:  We host six major holiday events on Skid Row to minister to the needs of the homeless.  The events are Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Back To School, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Outreach Training Center:  We teach, train, and equip Pastors and laypeople how to evangelize and meet the needs of the poor so they can return to their local community and minister to those in need.

Television:  We share the gospel of Jesus Christ, show the work of the Mission on Skid Row, and encourage our viewers with God’s Word through our weekly television program.  

Radio:  We share an encouraging word from Scripture during our Take 3 daily radio program.

Mobile Outreaches:  We conduct evangelism crusades and outreaches in various locations using our Hope Rig.  This 46 foot trailer is equipped with a drop down stage and plenty of storage for packing inflatable bounce houses, barbecues, food bags, and other items for our guests to enjoy.
