Are you in a valley right now? In Walking Through the Valleys, Joe Jordan talks about walking through many valleys during his life and ministry. Loss, family conflict, dark seasons of discouragement, and so much more have led to some of the deepest valleys he's had to face. Yet, these valleys have grown him in ways he never expected. Joe talks about how these experiences have developed his relationship with Jesus and expanded his grace for others. A Joyful Sorrow
“Tell me what to do if something happens to you,” I said. “If this is the Lord’s time for you, tell me what to do.” In April, 1988, Willie Jordan’s life suddenly and irreversibly changed when her husband, Fred, suffered a heart attack and went home to be with the Lord three weeks later. Together they had served the Lord side-by side and raised their seven children, most of whom serve God through serving others. Soon after her husband’s home going, Willie Jordan wrote a small booklet, Growing through the Loss of a Loved One, to encourage others to trust God in their darkest hours. Now, more than two decades later, her continuing story is about more than loss. It is a declaration of God’s faithfulness and the partnership of praying, caring friends as she leads the ministry Fred Jordan began on the streets of Los Angeles’ Skid Row more than seventy years ago. May the story of her courageous determination to thrive, not simply survive, in the midst of life’s losses and hardships give you hope and the assurance of God’s steadfast love, even through your most difficult days.
