A Much Greater Hunger

Mother Teresa said, “Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.”

I have learned the truth of this statement during the past 60+ years of serving the Lord through serving the poor, both here on the streets of Skid Row in Los Angeles, and in some of the most impoverished areas of the world.

Thanks to the support of compassionate friends like you, we have fed millions of nourishing meals to homeless families on America’s streets, war orphans in Japan and Korea, Chinese refugee children in Hong Kong, children in Africa’s bush country, and people in Latin America’s slums.

I can tell you from personal experience of sharing God’s love, and serving the poor in all of these nations, that every person hungers for someone to care.

And I have had the joy of telling them that God cares. God cares so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sin, and to restore our relationship to our Heavenly Father God.

We also tell these precious folks that you care. You express your care by praying for us, and supporting us, financially. Thank you!

Friend, if you ever feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten, please remember that God loves you, and so do we. Let us share your heartaches. Let us pray for your needs.

Blessings,
