“‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty,’” cried the angels around God’s throne, as they covered their faces and feet in reverence and awe in the presence of the Holy One.
This Scripture humbles me each time I read it, for if the heavenly angels recognized their unworthiness in the presence of the Holy One, I wonder how I would feel if I saw God in His holiness?
The Barna Group said that “the concept of holiness baffles most Americans.” Of those identified as “born again,” only 46 percent believed God has called them to holiness.
However, I believe that if we want to be used of God to reach a lost world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, our personal holiness is vital. We must ask ourselves: Holiness gives credibility to our witness. Do our lives live up to our witness? If you and I want to be fruitful in winning souls to Christ, we must seek to be like the One whose message we proclaim.
I believe that when you and I discover the holiness of the Lord Almighty in our own lives, and when we seek to be holy like God is holy, we will be compelled to tell a lost world that the holy One is the God who loved us enough to send His Son to provide our salvation.

Will you please pray for our homeless, hungry friends here on the streets of downtown Los Angeles? They need to have a personal relationship with our holy God, for He, alone, can mend their broken hearts, and restore their shattered lives.
