Mothers in Need of Hope

Dear Friend,

As you know, we are celebrating 80 years of “Declaring and Demonstrating the Love of Jesus” this year at Fred Jordan Missions.

“Est.1944 to 2024”

Since 1944, we have welcomed millions upon millions of individuals through our doors, offering them the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and addressing their immediate physical needs. Fred Jordan Missions has been here to serve, from nourishing meals prepared in our kitchen to essential items as simple as a new toothbrush.

Reflecting upon all the amazing things Jesus has done over the years at FJM, I am constantly reminded of the profound impact we have had, as evidenced by the myriad of photographs, heartfelt letters, and compelling stories we have heard and received. Among these many treasures was a video I recently found titled “FRED WAS AN AMAZING MAN!” 

In this video, my mother tells this story:  

If you know anything about my mom, Willie, she is a warrior for Christ and was my dad’s greatest supporter.

This story is just one of many engraved in my memory from my parents’ years of serving “the forgotten people” of Skid Row. Sadly, the needs of those on the streets are even greater today than they have been over the last 80 years. However, our determination and focus to help them have only grown stronger despite the challenges we are facing with declining support.

Recently, we hosted a beautiful Easter celebration for hundreds on Skid Row, and soon, we will honor mothers during our upcoming Mother’s Day event.

Today, I am reaching out to you to:

HELP US DECLARE the hope of Jesus with those who feel hopeless and are in need.

HELP MOTHERS this Mother’s Day, who need to feel loved and cared for.

HELP FEED, CLOTHE, AND LOVE families and individuals on Skid Row and beyond.
