Is Your Heart Empty? (D)

Jesus said, "I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." What a shocking claim.

Jesus fed the hungry crowds, and many thought he was a prophet like Moses. But now He says that He is the Bread of God, Himself, not simply a supplier of physical bread. Some asked, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son? How can He say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

Deep within each of us is an emptiness, a craving that we can’t identify, and we can’t satisfy. In 1670 Pascal wrote, “Man tries in vain to fill it with everything around him. This infinite abyss can be filled only by God himself.”

Our ultimate hunger is for God. God answered our hunger by sending His Only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross, pay the penalty for our sin, and restore our relationship with Father God. If you have an emptiness in your heart, please go to our website, fjm.org, and click on Know God, fjm.org, and click on Know God. Or write to me, Willie Jordan, PO Box 12345, Covina, CA 91722.

And may I ask you to please help us share Jesus and feed hungry children here on Skid Row in Los Angeles this summer? School is out, and children are hungry.

Blessings,

Willie Jordan
