Tell Me How to Be Saved!

It was almost midnight, when Dwight’s shift as foreman at the power plant would end. He had accepted Fred’s challenge to give a gospel tract to someone that day, and witness to them about Christ.

As Dwight reached the top of the ladder hundreds of feet in the air, he met one of his crew. He handed the tract to the man, and nervously asked, “Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior?” The man grabbed Dwight and said, “God sent you to me! I know I’m a sinner. Can you tell me how to be saved?”

Dwight explained the plan of salvation, the man repented of his sin, and prayed to receive Jesus Christ as his Savior! Within weeks, Dwight and his wife enrolled in the Mission’s soul winning school. In 1960 we sent them and their three children to Mexico as missionaries, and for the next 50+ years, Dwight Hendrick talked with everyone he met about their eternal destiny.

Dwight’s life was changed when he heard Fred’s question: “Have you won a soul to Christ? If not, why not?”
