Bread Alone is Not Enough

God said, "Remember how the LORD your God led you in the wilderness forty years. He humbled you and fed you with manna to teach you that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD."

This lesson is 6000 years old, but it is still good today. "Man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord."

The children of Israel got hungry every day, and God fed them with manna from heaven. Then He reminded them that “physical bread,” alone, will not sustain life. We must have God’s Word, the spiritual bread that gives eternal Life.

When Jesus came, He said that just as God had sent manna to the children of Israel in the wilderness, in the same way, God had sent Bread from heaven. That bread from heaven is His Son, Jesus, the Bread of Life.

Friend, summer is here, school is out, and there is no free lunch. Please help me share Jesus, the Bread of Life with hungry children, and also share physical bread for their hungry little bodies. Hungry children need your help, because hunger never takes a vacation.
