No room in the inn

“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

Countless generations have rejoiced in this story, for within that humble stable was born One who would bring help to the helpless and hope to the hopeless. Once again this Christmas, thousands of homeless, hungry families will come to the Mission’s doors, looking for the warmth of an "inn," just as they have done every year since 1944. Seeking refuge from the cold, the hunger, and the stark loneliness of the inner city, these families will come to the Mission looking for help, hope, and so much more.

And that's exactly what we can give them, thanks to the generous help of friends like you. Once again this Christmas we will witness the miraculous power of God’s love here at the “inn” of Fred Jordan Missions. That is, if you help by phoning 1-844-FJM-FOOD, donating online on our secure site www.fjm.org, or by mail to P.O. Box 12345, Covina, CA, 91722.

For with the generous support of friends like you, there will be hot Christmas meals for hungry people; Christmas dinner; Family Food Sacks and warm blankets for families; and warm clothing and new Christmas toys for little children. God’s love becomes real at Christmas through the prayers and gifts of friends like you.

Mary and Joseph heard the words, “No room.” Yet, in that lowly Bethlehem stable, all the hopes and all the longings of mankind were met. Please help us keep the “Welcome” sign hanging over the doors of Fred Jordan Missions at this glorious Christmas season. I pray that you will make room in the inn of your heart for Jesus at this glorious season. He is the best gift you will ever receive.

Blessings!

Willie Jordan (Mrs. Fred Jordan)
